Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. (Matthew 5:27-32)
Jesus Explained Adultery
Adultery is to illegally commit the act of adults. The legitimate way to commit the act of the adults, in the sight of God, is when a man and a woman, who are legally and lawfully married to each other have sexual intercourse in a way that is not demeaning to either of the two. No other way to express this sexual drive is permitted. Same-sex sexual relationships are an abomination in the sight of God, as is hetero-sexual sexual acts outside the bonds of marriage. Any substitute for the regular intercourse, such as attempts to satisfy base lusts via any other orifices of the body, or by the use of hands, are abominations and a mockery of the commandments of God.

Not any of the above mentioned acts are compatible with a Christian lifestyle, and anyone hoping for an inheritance in the Kingdom of God who has committed any of these serious sins, must go through the steps of repentance, with a truly contrite spirit. The sin is so serious that Jesus asks us not even to look upon a woman to lust after her. Unfortunately, we now live in times when women have copied the worst of the character-traits of men, so today, I’m sure, Jesus would have added, that whosoever looketh upon a man to lust after him hath committed adultery with him already in her heart.

Stay away from places where you get tempted. It is definitely all kind of erotica and pornography. It might be the beach, the internet, or whatsoever place where you get to see what you shouldn’t see if you want to keep your mind free from mental adultery. This is what Jesus says with the words: “ And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell”. It is better that one part of your life or one of your pleasures are sacrificed than that you indulge yourself to hell.

Even to give sexual gratification to one-self is wrong. Such behavior is nothing but one step further in the looking with lust upon someone. Even this mental pornography is clearly warned against by Jesus. How much clearer than this can it be: “And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell”. Jesus doesn’t ask anyone to chop of any body-parts. Rather, by creating habits that makes certain behavior difficult, or even impossible, that is the amputation that he intends. So, living in an age when everybody tells you that this is the normal behavior, why would the true Christianity hold on to the old pure teaching. No doubt, the world will mock and scorn and the masses will be filled with rage.
Self-gratification should be the mistakes of youth. There is no reason to condemn these struggling young people (for with the same judgment with which ye judge), but there is good reason to lovingly give them guidance to find behavior that fills them with pride, self-confidence and a sense of worth by mastering their thoughts and passions.

Frivolous divorce is adultery, or gives rise to adultery. “But it is better to divorce than to fight all the time” Sure. But there is one better: Stop fighting! Grow up! Repent! If two people want to do the will of God, divorce should not be an option. Divorce very often starts with premarital sex, years before. If I was selfish enough to rob my spouse-to-be of the most precious thing she had, even if everything points to that it is mutually consenting, why should she trust that this selfishness has now turned into love everlasting? There is a risk that this selfishness will be remembered and surface when the going gets tough…
